Lo3 My Tasks

For this unit I wrote the script for the radio show and organised the reading of it with another student who read it with me. I made the music for the adverts and jingles on cubase and on garage band, I then recorded the speech and put them together on audition. The voice for the adverts was recorded separately by myself using a voice recorder. Editing the radio show was done by myself on audition, I overlayed the music tracks with the voice and separated the voice slightly so it sounded like a real advert. I also used the volume controls to fade in and out with the music track so the voice was loud enough to hear. Below is a screen recording of myself altering volumes of dialogue on audition so they are at the same level. To Import the files I would go to file and then import to add the music, voices and adverts to the production. To cut tracks down I would select the end or start of the clip and drag it either forwards or backwards. To fade tracks in and out I select the part of the yellow volume line I want to change and drag it up or down. To increase volume of a clip, I would click and drag the volume bar up, and to decrease volume, I would take the bar down.
Below are photos of myself and a student using voice recorders to record the dialogue for the show. Here Will was reading from the script just in front of him and in the other photo I was saying the jingle for the show. To use the voice recorder, first you have to use the switch on the side to turn it on. You then record by pressing the red record button twice, then stopping it with the stop button on the front. The files are stored to the SD card which I took from it by putting it in the mac then importing them to audition.
